overflow

Many people have been in a place where it seems there is only pain or trials. Sometimes we have no way of knowing what may be coming next. There is only ways of coping in the physical body that may still leave us asking questions. Why do I have this problem? Where do I turn from here to achieve the next level of income? How long must I endure this heartache?  These questions may never be answered in the way we can fully understand them.

Sometimes just having a friend to talk with can help us through these problems, but if there is no one to talk with who do we turn to? God is the answer when there is no one left to really understand what we are going through. God gives us wisdom in places of questions, Light in place of darkness. We must make choices to take us into higher levels of understanding God’s plans for us. We may think this season we are in is a battle of wits with our enemy, whatever the battle may be whether it is sickness, homeless, or with family and friends.

God will teach us how to press through battles to become an overflowing vessel of love for him. Grapes goes through a pressing time to release juice to make wines or juices. We must endure a pressing time undergoing the pressing of flesh to give way to God’s Spiritual guidance. Trials come to make us grow stronger in our faith, in our strength of being led by the Holy Spirit, to teach us of how to become wiser in listening to the Father’s voice. Trials are a forging of strength in our Spirit, so we become more like Jesus in our hearts. Just as weapon maker takes steel forges it in fire, we also must walk through fiery trials to be forged into a new vessel of holiness found only in Jesus.

Pressing through burdens of flesh is harder than we can imagine at times, but faith grows stronger every time we leave flesh behind seeking God for assurance of His plans for us.

In Philippians 3:13-21 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. 16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. 17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example. 18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV)

These verses tell us how to accomplish pressing through our flesh to become more like Jesus. Teaching ourselves to learn from God as he guides our steps will bring us into levels of higher understanding of His Spiritual guidance. Questioning God of what he is doing, leaves us in a place of confusion. But hearing clearly the voice of Jesus, the Holy Spirit and God talking with us will bring light of revelation into our minds taking away confusion.

Philippians 4:4-7  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Pressing through the burdens helps us gain an overflow of Spiritual water that quenches our thirst. The overflow comes in great rejoicing of knowing who our Lord Jesus is to us. Overflow of the Spirit will give peace and joy beyond measure in our hearts as we live our life so nothing of flesh will move us. Our greatest desire should be to release ourselves into the hand of Jesus to become fashioned more like Him. Living in a world of darkness keeps us from seeing the Eternal world to come. Jesus never said this was an easy walk, every day must be a choice of how we live our lives for Him. Choosing to place Jesus above everything else must be the total desire of our hearts. Jesus will help us overcome through His Spirit in all things which comes against us, but how much faith are we willing to have in these test?

Faith will grow as we truly trust in the Lord to preform all of his promises, taking us to higher levels in Him. Press through the burden to gain overflow in God so we desire more of him than this world. Overflow comes in rejoicing in times of pain, joy in times of sorrow, love in times of loneliness. Overflow comes in deep prayer seeking more about the heart of God, than heart of man. Overflow comes in the beauty of God’s holy presence around us to see things in a Spiritual light instead of a physical one.

Press through the fire to gain the strength of faith for this makes us full in the Spirit of God to walk in his power, receiving of his hand the good things we have need of. Desire God, more than wealth, family or spouse. Desire God to lead us through the burdens instead of seeking man for his wisdom. Knowledge of who God is brings us closer to a level of flowing in His Spirit daily. Look to God for our guidance, understanding he is the only one who can bring us out of our burdens which we give to him to carry, leaving us to overflow in His Spiritual love.

May God be with you all blessing you in time of your needs, as you seek him for guidance through whatever burden you may be going through.
