Ever thought about how praise will come into our minds and we begin to think about the Glory of God? Ever wondered why we are uplifted in our praise to God? When we give praise to each other because of good deeds, or good work , we feel as though we have been greatly appreciated for what we have accomplished.
Why then would it be so hard to give great praise unto God who cares for us in all our needs, brings forgiveness unto us as our Lord and Savior in our hearts and makes us glad to be part of His wonderful plan in life? Should we not rejoice more in the Praise of our God by offering him great appreciation of all He has done and will continue to do for us?
Songs of worship and praise should be offered from a heart of pure love only to God, His Son Jesus, and in their Holy Spirit. Worship of God can only come from knowing Him as your Lord and Savior, walking solely in His Spirit, quickened by His touch. His Spirit gives us truth and power to worship the Living God by agreeing with His will to be done in us.
If we do not know Jesus as our LORD and Savior, how can we worship Him or our Father God in songs of praise? If we believe there are many ways to heaven, then we are in false delusions and cannot praise God in Spirit and Truth.

Many people sing songs without ever considering the full effect of a song they are singing. (There Is Power In The Blood), (My Hope Is Built), (O How I Love Jesus) all of these are songs which we sing in a church setting. The words of these songs are to be sung in reverence to God, to reach out and bless Him so He can bless us. If we sing these kinds of songs, without knowing who God is, then we are not truly worshiping God, these are just songs without meaning to those who are still walking in their fleshly lust.

Praise should always come from our heart with desire to please God. Just as we enjoy hearing praise given to us from one another with sincerity, we should with an sincere heart offer praise to God. A daily walk with Jesus takes every second of the day asking of His Spirit to guide us in all things. We should be able to worship God with great praise for giving us His Holy Son as our Savior, who took away our sins so we may be forgiven and have eternal life with them in heaven.

Psalm 35:28 KJV- And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all day long.

By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. Psalm 71:6 KJV

But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. Psalm 71:14 KJV

I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Psalm 104:33 KJV

And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is and is to come. Revelation 4:8 KJV

We should desire to praise God for all of his mercy, his grace, His Son. We should desire to walk in God’s Spirit, offering up our prayers as incense to him daily, while seeking His covering of Wisdom, as we seek to do His will. Praise cannot be done unless it truly comes from an humbled heart before God. We cannot truly sing praise, or bless God’s Holy name without first truly knowing God as our Lord and our Savior. He comes to bless those who walk in His statutes and obeys His commands.

We should know how to praise God if we are washed by the power of the blood of His Lamb. We should sing songs of love to God, if we truly do love Him.

Let us praise God with true and pure love in our hearts for Him alone, give Him praise all ye that worship the Living God with joy and uplift His Holy name. Come ye blessed of the Father, Glorify His name, Rejoice for soon our Lord Jesus shall appear to claim his bride and receive us unto Himself that where He is, we can be also.

Here is the song   O How I Love Jesus taken from the song book of hymns on page 391 written by Isaac Watts or Stephen Jones, not sure which one.

O How I Love Jesus

  1. A-Las! and did my Sav-ior bleed? And did my Sov-reign die? Would He devote that sa-cred head For such a worm as I?
  2. Was it for crimes that I have done, He groaned up-on the tree? A-maz-ing pit-y! grace unknown! And love be-yond de-gree!
  3. Well might the sun in dark-ness hide, And shut His glo-ries in, When Christ, the might-y Mak-er died For man the creature’s sin!
  4. Thus might I hide my blush-ing face While His dear cross ap-pears; Dis-solve my heart in thank-ful-ness, And melt mine eyes to tears.
  5. But drops of grief can ne’er re-pay The debt of love I owe; Here, Lord, I give my-self a-way, “Tis all that I can do.

Chorus   O how I love Je-sus! O how I love Je-sus! O how I love Je-sus! Because He first loved me!

Think about all the breath we breath, how much do we Praise our Lord and King who has given to us this breath of life?
