God is calling his people to come back to Him, walk away from worldly lust, leave all sin and idols behind. God is calling us to arise up to shine a light in a world of darkness. In this time given to us, we should be using it to speak truth, expounding God’s word of life to others, forsaking all things of flesh and false religious ways. We know time is drawing closer for the return of Jesus, as we see fulfillment of God’s word coming to pass.

Our place in this world is to allow God to help us bring glory to His name, by following His Spirit of Truth given to us through His Son Jesus. We handle with care glass or especially things easily broken, just as we handle these things with care, we should also handle God’s word with great care so as not to mislead others. God said do not add to, nor take away from His Word, yet many do not heed this warning. Many will speak of different ways to draw great crowds into their churches so they receive money. Many teach falsely about different ways to heaven or about how God does not hate evil, but how God is a God of love. God will have nothing at all to do with evil, His wrath will be poured out upon all who despise His Truth.

God is calling for his warriors to arise up out of ashes and begin to praise Him, to do the will of God is to be found doing what He has called us to do. God calls to everyone with ears to hear his voice, to come and be filled with His water of life, as he gives freely to us who will drink. Know God’s voice as intimately as your own voice, for in this way we will never stray from Him. Teaching ourselves to hear directly from God will confirm His Truth to us, as we listen for His voice.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. KJV

Has God called you into His body of believers? Has He given to you a work to do? Have you felt that you seem lost in your calling? Maybe it is time to take up the Book of God’s Holy Word and begin to read it until God shows you plainly what you must do. We cannot do anything of ourselves, but through the power of God’s anointing upon us we are able to do what He gives us to do. God calls us to become His witness to others, so we can Glorify His name in all things. If we help others to see God in us, we may be able to win them to Christ through our testimonies.

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. KJV

We should never be discouraged in the calling God has given to us, we should be happy to do whatever God has called us to do, letting His Spirit guide our steps. Many think they should have a different calling than what God has given them. God knows where He needs us the most, can the foot do the work of the ear, or can the eye smell? Should we try to become a different person to what God has called us to be? How silly would it look for a young baby to be put behind the pulpit when they are not able to stand or walk or talk. Could this young child give us the meat that God has prepared for us? I do not think so, neither can one bring forth God’s word unless He enlightens us to do so.

If we refuse to walk in a calling God has given us, we cannot give Glory to God for we are in rebellion against Him, as we go against what He has given to us. Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; KJV   God wants us to walk in His direct steps of calling upon our lives, for we are never left alone if we are found so doing what God has called us to do. God calls to us to come be filled with His Truth, His Spirit, His Wisdom, this is how we know God’s Spirit dwells in us.

Do not take your calling lightly, nor walk away from what God has given to you to do for God is not to be taken lightly, nor to be taken for granted. Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not. KJV  Even if we are doing the best we can to fulfill His word, we should always be hearing what God is saying to us, allowing His Spirit full access to our hearts.

We should not walk away from God, but do the things which He has called us to do. Some may believe we cannot stray from God after we have been baptized, or made a confession of faith. But God has said if you love Me keep my commandments, how do we do this? We keep His commandments by walking in His Spirit daily fulfilling the will of God, as Jesus taught us to do.  Walk away from sinful lust of this world, become filled with the Spirit of God to walk in our calling He has given to us.

God is just and faithful to those who are seeking His Will to be done, He is also just and faithful to see we accomplish all He has for us to do through His Spiritual guidance. Nothing can come against us, if we are walking in God’s light of Truth and Mercy. A calling is something to respect in having heard from God what He wants us to do. A calling comes to those God has chosen to work in His timing with whatever gift He has given us. Lay aside fears or doubts we have, for God will help strengthen us through all the ways of our calling to accomplish what He has given us.

Our decision must be to follow our calling in Jesus, as He gives us revelation or knowledge on how to fulfill His Will.( Job 34:4 Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good. KJV) ( Jeremiah 21:8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. KJV)

What we have been given is precious, for God has entrusted us to bring forth His will, as He does this in us as a calling or anointing upon us. These three verses sum up my thoughts on God’s calling for our lives.

Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession Christ Jesus; KJV

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthened, settle you. KJV

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. KJV
