Prayer, communication with God on how we talk from our heart to His. What kind of prayers are said, is usually how we pray from a desire of a need we have in our heart. Too many times we pray with uncertain things in our hearts, asking God for things we really have no need of. Too many times the prayer is only spoken out loud repeating another’s prayer not even our own.

Prayer is a free communication we do not have to ask anyone else to pray for us, because God already hears our heart before we start to pray. We may stand in agreement with others, as they ask us to pray with them. We continue to ask God’s will to be done in another’s life, as we are led to pray for them. How do we pray? What kind of prayer is pleasing to the Lord?

Prayer should always be the sincere desire of our heart, asking God first to come and hear our prayers, giving Him glory and honor. We should desire His Spirit to pray through us, for He already knows what is going on, before we even start to pray. Prayer is agreeing with God for His will to be done, not ours no matter how difficult it may seem for us.

When we really seek God with a pure love in our hearts, our prayers are like incense to the Father, as we pray they ascend up to Him. In Revelation chapter 8:3-4 it talks about our prayers as God hears the prayers of His saints.

Revelation 8:3-4 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of  the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. KJV

Prayers are felt deep inside of our heart being released to God, through obedience to His Spirit, as He directs our words which we pray. We are human in flesh, God is Spirit living in us with His knowledge of how to pray. Sometimes we may not even know what to say or pray for, but the Spirit of God living in us, will make groaning’s in our Spirit, as we release our prayers up to God.

Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. KJV

True prayer is a desire for God to move on someone’s behalf, but it is also to agree for God’s will to be done. God will never go against what He has planned for us, but He will hear and deliver us by healing our sickness, or revealing His answer to our prayers. We should be seeking God’s will in all things in our lives, even smallest things, we think as unimportant to us like how we dress. God desires us to become more like Jesus, more willing to be obedient than to fulfill our desires of flesh.

In our seeking God through prayers, strongholds of bondage is broken off, satan can no longer deceive a righteous people, for God is guiding us in all ways, and in His Truth. Never give satan credit for anything, for he cannot do anything, unless you allow him entrance into your mind. Keep your focus upon Jesus, asking His Holy Spirit to guide and keep your mind upon Him. Just as we sit and watch things on t.v. our enemies will come to deceive us through many programs, if we allow them to do so.

Matthew 6:5-15 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray to thy Father in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. KJV

Jesus also said a beautiful prayer in (The book of John Chapter 17) KJV   We must allow God to direct us in all things, this is done through continually praying for His guidance throughout our day and night. Prayer is our greatest weapon against anything satan has stored up for us. Our prayers cannot be heard by satan, for he cannot stand in the presence of God. But what we allow him to put in our minds can become a plan set against us, if we do not ask God to deliver us from his plans.

There are many ways in which we pray, standing, kneeling, sitting, or just in our thoughts. We should become humble before the LORD to ask anything of Him. Humble thyself in His sight, repent of all thy sins, and God will hear thy prayers sent up. Remain vain and selfish, full of arrogance and disobedience, God will not hear. For God will not hear the prayers of sinners.

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. KJV

The only way God will hear a sinner’s prayer, is for forgiveness a contrite and broken heart calling out to God for a new life in them. Prayer is a free communication to God, to pour our heart out to Him asking for guidance, deliverance, and forgiveness. We talk to God as our best friend, our Lord, our Savior, we seek His love and great peace, by becoming obedient to God. Then God will speak to us daily, we will be able to hear all of His Truth, as he opens our ears and eyes to see His enlightened Word unto us.

May all be blessed to pray with an humble heart to seek God in the fullness of His Love and guidance.
